FIVE new turkey ladies!
Welcome Fred, Larry, Jerry, Mako, and Butternut to Sweet Farm!
We recently heard about an unfortunate situation. Yet another sanctuary is having to close its doors and re-home over 100 rescued animals! After six years of rescuing farm animals and educating the public on the emotional lives of the animals that people eat, they reached out to the sanctuary community for help in relocating almost all their animals. This is the third time that Sweet Farm has been able to step up and take in animals from sanctuaries that are closing...thanks to your support.
We welcomed 5 new turkey ladies: Fred, Larry, Jerry, Mako, and Butternut. A few of these sweet girls had the ends of their toes and beaks severed when they were babies, as is standard practice on factory farms, but with love and care they are all thriving now. We can't wait to watch their personalities blossom in their new home with Callum, Brenda, and Bella.
The girls are settling into their new home
Turkeys are loving, sociable, and intelligent creatures, worthy of love, safety, and comfort. Just like you. And yet almost 70 million turkeys will be killed and eaten over the holiday season. While that number feels incredibly overwhelming, you are not powerless. You can start new traditions. You can choose a kinder and more sustainable future for your loved ones. And what better tradition to start than sponsoring turkeys instead of eating them this holiday season?
When you sponsor our Turkey Team during November and December, you get a pdf sponsorship certificate to share with a loved one as a gift, or just to keep and remind yourself that you can, in fact, change the world.
Thank you for helping support our loving and beautiful turkeys, and all the rescued animals at Sweet Farm. We couldn't do this without you.
